A local installer who knows Sur's homes, souqs and harbour.

Alternative Line for Trading plans and installs camera and protection systems that fit the place you want to protect, from a family villa near the corniche to a shop in the souq or a farm on the road to Al Kamil.

We start by looking at your site, then recommend the right cameras, recorder and cabling. When the work is done, we set up viewing on your phone and show you how to use it.

Where the cameras should go

Every place has its weak spots. Pick yours to see where we usually start.

A modern villa exterior with a driveway

Home and villa

  • Main gate to see faces and number plates as people arrive
  • Driveway and parking to cover the cars overnight
  • Front door and majlis entrance at face height
  • Side passages and back yard where walls are easiest to climb

Most villas start with 4 to 8 cameras and a video intercom at the gate.

Which camera for which job

Five shapes cover almost every site. We mix them to suit each spot.

Sketch your villa plan

Tap the spots you want covered. You will see each camera's view on the plan. Send the list to us and we will bring it to the site visit.

Parking Garden Majlis Hall Rooms Back yard Gate

Sun, salt air and dust are hard on cameras. We plan for them.

    Sealed housings

IP66 or IP67 rated cameras and junction boxes on every exposed wall.

    Rust-resistant fixings

Stainless or coated brackets and screws, so no rust stains run down your wall.

Aimed away from the low sun

We check each angle so sunrise over the sea does not blind the picture.

    Backup power

A UPS keeps the recorder running through short power cuts.

A person watching several camera views on screens

    Your cameras, in your pocket

Before we leave, we install the app on your phone and check every view with you.

    • Live view of any camera, from home, work or travelling
    • Playback by date and time, and save a clip to send
    • Alerts when someone crosses the gate or the wall at night
    • Shared access for family members or a shop manager

Cameras, recorder, storage, cabling and labour, each listed with its price.

    4. 4

      Installation

We mount the cameras, run the cables in conduit and set up the recorder.

    5. 5

      Handover

We set up the phone app, show you how to play back footage and check every view after dark.

What a tidy installation looks like

The details that keep a system working for years. Use them to judge any installer, including us.

Hands drilling a wall to mount equipment
Solid wall plugs and a level mount, so the view does not drift.
A camera mounted at the corner of a brick building
Corner mounts that see along two walls at once.
Blue network cables plugged into a switch
One cable per camera, labelled at both ends.
A technician drilling into a wall
Cables in conduit or trunking, never stapled loose along the wall.
A camera on a plain concrete wall
High enough to stay out of reach, low enough to see faces.
Several camera views shown on monitors
Every view checked at night before handover.

Close by when you need us

We are in Sur, so a site visit or a repair does not have to wait for a team from Muscat. Homes, fishing stores near the harbour, shops and farms inland are all part of our day.

    Questions people ask

Not here? Call 9250 4429 and ask.

How many cameras do I need?

It depends on the number of entrances, the length of the walls and what you want to see. A typical villa needs 4 to 8 cameras and a small shop 3 to 6. After a site visit we will give you an exact number.

Can I watch the cameras on my phone?

Yes. The recorder connects to your internet and we install the app on your phone. You can watch live, play back footage and receive alerts.

How many days of footage are kept?

That depends on the number of cameras, the picture quality and the hard drive. Tell us how many days you need, for example two weeks or a month, and we will size the drive to match.

Do the cameras see at night?

Yes. Infrared cameras record black-and-white video in darkness, usually up to 20 to 40 metres. Colour night cameras use a soft light to record in colour.

What happens during a power cut?

Without backup power the system stops until power returns. A UPS keeps the recorder and cameras running through short cuts. We recommend one for shops and farms.

Can you add cameras to my existing system?

Often, yes. We check your recorder's brand, free channels and storage first, then tell you whether to add to it or replace it.

    Do you work outside Sur?

Yes, across South Al Sharqiyah. Call or message us with your town to arrange a visit.
